Meet the Crew


chema Domenech


Chema is a filmmaker and MFA Student at Montana State University. He specializes in wildlife and nature cinematography but enjoys working on a variety of projects and in different capacities. His credits include work for BBC, CBC, National Geographic, Smithsonian Channel, PBS, and Rwanda Development Board.

His work has screened at internationally renowned film festivals including Wild and Scenic and International Wildlife Film Festival, among others.

He lives in Bozeman, Montana but works all over the world.


Kelly Carpenter

Film Editor

Kelly’s professional experience ranges from documentary, commercial, to reality television. She has produced content for clients such as the Yeti Coolers, Mathews Inc., Gore-Tex, History Channel, Pantene, Red Lobster, and Paul Newman’s Non-Profit Hole in the Wall Gang Camp. She is creatively driven, technically proficient, with a passion for quality storytelling.


Ian Mcleod

Music Composer

Ian McLeod is the Founder and Lead Composer of Cleod9 Music. Based in Washington, D.C. his company features a small collective of musicians that create music and sound design for an array of media.

Since Cleod9's inception, Ian and his team have scored several films featured in Hot Docs, Santa Barbara International Film Festival and Telluride Mountainfilm. Their list of clients for commercial work include Red Bull, REI, Oakley and National Geographic, among others.


RJ Sindelar

2nd Camera//Location Sound

RJ received a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from Lafayette College, a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering Sciences from the University of Florida and is currently an M.F.A. student in Science and Natural History Filmmaking at Montana State University.

His Ph.D. work focused on developing combined chemical and biological treatment systems to combat the phosphorus problem in the Florida Everglades. After graduating with his Ph.D., he decided to pursue a career in filmmaking in the hopes of better communicating scientific research to the public.


William Lake Springstead

Sound Mixer//Sound Designer

William Lake Springstead earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Photography degree from Montana State University. He now works as a sound recording engineer and sound designer in Bozeman, Montana. William worked as an assistant editor on award winning feature length documentaries Unbranded (2015) and Charged: The Eduardo Garcia Story (2017). In 2018, working as a sound designer, William received a Northwest Regional Emmy. Recently, William designed his first public sound art installation for display in Missoula, MT. When he isn't working on audio for Film and TV, William pursues a hobby of building computers or skiing and hiking in Montana's backcountry.


Scott Sterling

Film Colorist

Scott hails from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, where exposure to the outdoors, technology, and culture inspired a passion for visual art and storytelling. Sterling is the director of production for KUSM-TV | MontanaPBS, bringing award-winning films to the people of Montana and beyond. His role as producer and director includes documentary features The Violin Alone, Fort Peck Dam, and Without Words, and the signature series 11th & Grant with Eric Funk, now in its 13th season. Scott also works as a freelance colorist, with recent work airing on The National Geographic Channel, The History Channel, Smithsonian Earth and Independent Lens on PBS. Scott has earned eleven Emmy® Awards from the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences - Northwest Chapter, and revels in the juxtaposition of art and technology that is contemporary filmmaking.
